Walkthrough of “Overview”

Files is a centralized document storage system where you can upload, organize, and share documents with your team. Supported file types include PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), and Excel (.xls, .xlsx) files.

Walkthrough of “Uploading Files”

  1. Navigate to the Files page.
  2. Click the Upload button in the top right corner.
  3. Select the file(s) you want to upload.
  4. Files will begin uploading and appear at the top of the list with a progress bar.

Note: If an upload fails, click the retry icon next to the file to try again.


Folders help you organize your files into a hierarchy.

  1. Navigate to the Files page.
  2. Click the New Folder button.
  3. Enter a name for the folder.
  4. Click Save.

Note: When you create a folder or upload a file, it will be added to the folder you are currently viewing.


A breadcrumb trail at the top of the page shows your current location in the folder hierarchy. Click on any breadcrumb to navigate back to that folder.

  1. Click on a folder in the list to open it.
  2. The breadcrumb trail will update to show your current location.

  1. Use the search bar at the top of the file list.
  2. Enter the name of the file or folder you’re looking for.
  3. Results will filter as you type.
  1. Click on the Created By dropdown in the table header.
  2. Select one or more users to filter by.
  3. The list will show only files created by the selected users.

Click on a column header to sort by that column:

  • Name: Sort alphabetically
  • Size: Sort by file size
  • Created: Sort by creation date

  1. Click on the dots (…) next to the file.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the file name.
  4. Click Save.

  2. Click Download.
  3. The file will open in a new window or download to your device.
  1. Click on the dots (…) next to the file.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

  1. Click on the dots (…) next to the folder.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the folder name.
  4. Click Save.

  2. Click Delete.
  3. Choose whether to delete nested files within the folder.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

You can drag and drop files and folders to reorganize them.

  1. Click and drag a file or folder.
  2. Drop it onto another folder in the list.
  3. The item will be moved into that folder.

  2. Drop it onto a breadcrumb at the top of the page.
  3. The item will be moved to that location in the hierarchy.

Control who can see and interact with your files by sharing them with specific users, teams, or roles.

  • Team Access: If a file is shared with a team, all users on that team and any of its sub-teams will have access.
  • User Access: If a file is shared directly with a user, that user will have access.
  • Role Access: If a file is shared with a role, all users assigned that role will have access.
  1. Click on the dots (…) next to the file you want to share.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Choose the segment you want to share with: Teams, Users, or Roles.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Select the specific teams, users, or roles.
  6. Click Save.

  3. Find the user, team, or role you want to remove.
  4. Click the remove button next to their name.

Owners and admins can view all files in the organization. Other users can only view files that have been shared with them.

When a file is shared with a user, they will receive a notification and be able to view the file in the Files page.
