Locations
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Locations are used to represent physical locations within the organization. Locations must be under a team.
Locations can contain:
- Users
Notes
- Locations can contain any number of users.
- Locations must be assigned to a team.
- Locations can only have one parent team.
Viewing Locations in List
Section titled “Viewing Locations in List”- Navigate to Locations page.
- From there, you can do the following to find a particular Location or group you’re looking for.
- Search by address or store number
- Click on a particular Location to see more details.
Note: You can see how many locations are in your organization here.
Viewing Location Information
Section titled “Viewing Location Information”- Click on a particular Location in the Locations page.
- See details about the location including: assigned tasks, location details like identifier, address, and attributes.
Creating a Location
Section titled “Creating a Location”Every location must sit inside a team. A location cannot stand on its own.
To create a location, you can:
- Go to the hierarchy view
- Click on the dots next to the team you want to add a location to
- Click ** Location**

- Go to the hierarchy view
- Click on “Create New” in the top right corner
- Click Location

- Go to the Locations page
- Click on “Create New” in the top right corner

The New Location Form
Section titled “The New Location Form”When creating a new location, you will:
- Select the team to add the location to
- This may be autopopulated if you clicked Location from a team
- Enter the address of the location
- An autocomplete will appear as you type. Select the correct address from the autocomplete.
- An optional “Store Number” to identify the location
- An optional email address for the location
- Any number of attributes can be associated with the location
- Click Save to add the location
Editing a Location
Section titled “Editing a Location”- Go the Locations page
- Click on the location you want to edit
- Once the changes are made, click Save to save the changes
Editing Multiple Locations
Section titled “Editing Multiple Locations”- Go the Locations page
- Select the location you want to edit with the checkboxes
- Click the three dots on any of the selected locations’ rows
- Click Edit
- The Editing Several Locations at Once form opens
- Once the changes are made, click Save to save the changes
Editing Several Locations at Once
Section titled “Editing Several Locations at Once”When updating multiple locations, you will be able to set the following fields:
- The team the locations are under
- The attributes of the locations
Deleting a Location
Section titled “Deleting a Location”When deleting a location, all users under that location will moved to the parent team of that location.

Deleting a Location in the Locations Page
Section titled “Deleting a Location in the Locations Page”Alternatively, you can delete a location within the Locations page. This requires that you are an admin in your organization.
- Go the Locations page
- Click on the three dots next to the location you want to delete, or right-click on the location
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion by clicking Yes, Permanently Delete
Note: Deleting a location still moves all users under that location to the parent team of that location just like deleting from the hierarchy view.
Location Attributes
Section titled “Location Attributes”Locations can have attributes associated with them. For example, you can add a “Drive Through” attribute to easily filter all your locations with that attribute. You can also create an assignment to assign tasks to locations with a specific attribute.
Here are some use cases for location attributes:
- Quickly filter locations: Easily find locations based on their assigned attributes.
- Assign tasks to specific locations: Create assignments that target locations with particular attributes.
- Forms that adapt to the site: show or hide questions and sections depending on whether the location has a particular attribute, so one form can cover sites that differ slightly.
Creating an Attribute
Section titled “Creating an Attribute”- Go to the Locations page
- Click on the Attributes tab
- Click New Attribute
- Enter the name of the attribute
- Click Save to save the changes
Adding an Attribute to a Location
Section titled “Adding an Attribute to a Location”- Go to the Locations page
- Click on the three dots next to the location you want to add the attribute to
- Click on the Edit tab
- Select the Attributes you’d like the location to have
- Click Save to save the changes
Editing an Attribute
Section titled “Editing an Attribute”- Go to the Locations page
- Click on the Attributes tab
- Click on the three dots next to the attribute you want to edit
Deleting an Attribute
Section titled “Deleting an Attribute”- Go to the Locations page
- Click on the Attributes tab
- Click on the three dots next to the attribute you want to delete
- Click Delete
